Dag Ismail Khel solar water system

A mountain village where about 270 households faced severe water shortages now has a village-scale solar-powered supply.

Education

Government Primary School expansion

Kodary Circle, Hathiyan. Six new classrooms built at a school that had only two, with veranda, four washrooms and ceiling fans. 370 children now study there.

Health

Neonatal healthcare, two phases

Incubators, phototherapy units, suction machines, monitors and oxygen for three public hospitals in Nowshera, Mardan and Swabi.

Humanitarian

Buner flood relief

200 food packages distributed, reaching about 1,400 people after the 2025 floods.

Water

Takht Bhai Polytechnic College

A solar water well ending five years of shortages, serving 1,200 students and 85 staff.

Shelter

Housing for widows

Complete homes with living room, kitchen, washroom, boundary wall, water and electricity, for widows eligible for Zakat.

Livelihoods

Zakat Employment Programme

Small businesses and livelihood opportunities for 40 deserving families.

Twenty years of documented activity

LEO's mission talks about empowerment through education, health and basic rights. Its photo archive shows that happening: dated events, named places, and officials who came and saw. A selection of the record, from 2005 to now.

Computer literacy in Katlang

A community computer college whose certificate ceremonies drew the former provincial Education Minister. Photographed under LEO's own banners.

Blood grouping camp

A blood grouping and screening centre opened for the community. The opening banner in the archive dates itself: 18 July 2012.

First Eid distribution

LEO's first Eid gift distribution to children of the neighbourhood in Mardan, the start of a seasonal assistance tradition that continues today.

International Workers' Day

Observed each year with colleges and communities, most recently at Government Degree College Takht Bhai. The cause LEO is named for.

Sewing and knitting centre

Inaugurated by the District Social Welfare Officer, who examined LEO's records the same day and expressed satisfaction. The centre runs inside the LEO office.

Homes handed over to widows

Handover ceremonies for complete homes with water, electricity and boundary walls, photographed family by family for the project record.

Solar wells, drilled to handover

Incubators, phototherapy units and monitors received by clinical staff in the wards of three public hospitals in Swabi, Mardan and Nowshera.

Winter support at Darul Aman

Blankets, warm clothes, shoes and medicines for 40 women and 10 children at the Mardan shelter, through the hardest weeks of winter.

  • The District Social Welfare Officer inaugurated the sewing and knitting centre and examined LEO's documents on site.
  • The Relief Commissioner visited the LEO office and toured its projects.
  • The former provincial Education Minister attended computer-course certificate ceremonies.
  • Senior health officials at the Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Swabi discussed LEO's contribution to the hospital's programme.
